What a fabulous choice we made! Absolutely loved our stay and Angela was the most exceptional host. We felt so at home. Our little apartment was absolutely perfect . It was fitted and supplied with anything you could possibly need while staying there. We had the use of a lovely little splash pool on a deck with a, "beyond amazing" view. We could not get enough of the beautiful mornings and evenings on the deck. The pictures do not do this Guest house justice. It fully deserves its 4start rating. We will definitely stay there again when we return. Oh almost forgot, we ordered breakfast which was delicious and served outside our apartment, on the deck with the spectacular view over Port Alfred.

We had a wonderful stay. The accommodation had a beautiful view and everything that we needed. Close to the beach and shops. We came back to a clean and tidy accommodation every day. The homemade rusks were a treat and the bed very comfortable. All the space we needed for my husband and son. We loved having our meals on the balcony. Friendly and welcoming hosts, thank you Ange. We will definitely be back.

How to Respond: Top Tips

So good we stayed an extra couple of nights
So glad we booked to stay at The Outlook. We loved our apartment - spacious, clean and very well equipped.
The outdoor area was excellent. We could sit on our patio in the shade admiring the views, or lay on the sun loungers by the pool.
We particularly loved the owners’ three small dogs who were always so happy to greet us, Tinkie was more than willing to jump on your lap for a cuddles. And if you meet ‘Wednesday’, the sweetest cat, she’ll be sure to insist on a cuddles too.
We loved the area with lots of gorgeous beaches nearby. Angela was so helpful in advising us on the best places to visit, including restaurants.
We loved it so much we decided to stay an extra 2 days!
Oh and thanks Ange for those delicious homemade biscuits that somehow appeared each day!

When I have gone away and stayed at a hotel or a B&B, I always refer to my place of stay as, "my room". Upon staying at The Lookout, I realised that "my room" is not appropriate. Instead, I had to refer to it as "home." The rooms are cozy and extremely comforting. The staff reinforces that sense of homeliness and they exude politeness. The breakfasts are amazing and the service all round was impeccable. I look forward to traveling to Port Alfred. My drive may be long, but I will always have a place to call home.

My stay at the Lookout guesthouse was beyond great. The rooms were amazing and worked well for my electric wheelchair. The unit that we stayed in was beyond spacious enough for the movement of my wheelchair, this made everything comfortable.

The bathrooms were wide enough to allow space for bathroom use, the bedrooms were well spaced out as well as the unit was one level to allow ease of access. The facilities in the kitchen were low enough and easy enough for use. Additionally, access to the outside patio was made available as there was no bump to move over.

Should you need a place to stay that is accessible for an electric wheelchair as well as a manual one - with great service and a welcoming atmosphere - then the Lookout Guesthouse is the place for you.

If you are wanting to stay at the best B+B in Port Alfred, The Lookout is where you need to go. The food is on another level, the accommodation, service and most of all the views are just incredible!!! We will always go back to The Lookout, it is quite simply better than any other.

We met up with our family the Lookout Guesthouse for Christmas in PA and had a most wonderful time. We made use of the bar and entertainment area for Christmas lunch and enjoyed the pool, the good weather and beautiful sea views. There was plenty of space to gather round and open presents and the well-stocked kitchens ensured we had everything we needed to make a big family meal. The comfy bed and the delicious breakfast provided by guesthouse was the cherry on top of our relaxing stay! The owners went above and beyond to cater to our needs and we really couldn’t have ask for more

My girlfriend and I have stayed at the Lookout many times and we have never once had anything short of an amazing time. The owner, Angela, is an incredible host - always very kind and generous. The staff are very friendly, and the dogs (three schnauzers) are adorable. The views from the guesthouse are incredible and the units are always spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and come with all the amenities and utilities you could need. We will definitely be back.

Very tasteful and super comfortable accommodation with large rooms and all the amenities needed & more!! All this with an incredible view. Rod and Angela went out of their way to ensure our stay was exceptional in every way.
